Teacher Strike

Please make arrangements for your children
The NZEI have advised the Board of Trustees of a nation wide rolling strike for Teachers. The full day strike for the Rotorua region is scheduled on Tuesday 13th November 2018. The Board has carefully considered the availability of teaching staff, and have unfortunately decided that we can't provide the normal teaching services during the strike. Therefore, Rotorua SDA School will be closed on this date. In that light, please be advised of the following:

•  A letter will be issued to each student to take home informing families of the strike
• Where possible make alternate arrangements for the care of your children on that day
• We can still supervise a small number of students if required (contact office well in advance)

We appreciate this is inconvenient for everyone, but please be assured that student safety is our main concern. We thank you for your prayers in this important matter.
