Transitioning to High School
At Rotorua Seventh-Day Adventist School we want to ensure a smooth transition from Primary to Secondary school. Change can be difficult but it doesn’t have to be.
We hope that with the preparation for secondary school that is delivered in Rotorua Seventh-Day Adventist School, our students can confidently look forward to their new and exciting beginnings.
It is essential that you enrol your child to high school before the end of their Year 8 year.
This enables your chosen high school to properly place your child in their classroom all ready for them to start in the new year.
Please talk with your child, complete the enrolment forms and send them through to the Year 9 deans by the end of Term 3 - Term 4 at the latest. It is easier to cancel your enrolment later than to not have one at all.

Open Days
Orientation days enable your child to get to know their teachers, view and become familiar with their new school environment and meet and start connections with similar Year 8’s. Please organise and support your child to be at these orientation days by dropping them off and picking them up. Feel free to go inside and speak with school until you are happy they are settled. All students are expected to be in our Rotorua SDA full school uniform for the day.
