Confidence Course Models
The whole school spent a fabulous day at Tui Ridge Camp several weeks ago. It was an early spring day and the weather was perfect. As well as donating possum traps and bird watching, we all completed what we could of the confidence course. When we returned to school we got into pairs and designed our own confidence courses. From the plans we created our confidence course models.
Why my confidence course is successful ?
Do you know what a confidence course is ? well just listen I’ll tell you. Well a confidence course is an obstacle you choose, you can choose how much obstacles you want. Then you build it or make it by modeling. Confidence courses are good for exercises. Do you love confidence courses?I love confidence courses because it makes you fit. Have you ever been to a confidence course before ? If you’re gonna go to a confidence course remember to take a camera and a picnic set with you.
The first reason was that our confidence course was spaced out and separated.
another reason why my confidence course turned out successfully was that it had lots of pretty colours in them and lots of different shapes,it is very neat and tidy and freshly painted.
The last reason is that my confidence course has 6 activities in them.
I hope that whoever goes through they can see our confidence course. I wish that it will never ever rip or fall of.And it will be the worlds best! Thats what I think! and our Confidence course is named KFC it stands for Kesiya, Florence and Charade.

Why my Confidence Course is Successful
I think that my confidence course would be successful if it was built outside by builders.
I think my confidence course has all six activities and is intimidating .
We have six activities because we were instructed .
My confidence course has all the activities numbered so people know where to start and finish.
Also I think my confidence course has all activities instructions so people know what to do .
I have good memories of when I was making the confidence course.

Why my confidence course is successful
I think my confidence course turned out how we wanted it to come out we did make a few changes but it’s successful.
One reason why my confidence course is successful is our objects are spaced out.
My second reason why my confidence course is successful because we put a lot of hard work into our confidence course and that’s why our confidence course is successful .
And my final reason why my confidence course is successful is that our confidence course are numbered so we will tell you where to go from the first activity to the last activity
I hope that people will love our confidence course and have fun.

Why our confidence course is successful.
I think our confidence course turned out alright because we made a few changes but it still turned out successful.
One of my reasons why the confidence course is successful because we give you instructions for each activity.
MY second reason why our confidence course successful because we spaced the courses.
THe last reason why my confidence course is successful because I’ve numbered all our courses.
I hope everyone likes our confidence course and thinks its cool.

Why our confidence course is successful.
I think our confidence course turned out allright because we made a few changes but it still turned out successful.
One of my reasons why the confidence course is successful is because we give you instructions for each activity.
My second reasons why our confidence course is successful because we spaced our activities out.
The last reason why our confidence course is successful because the activities are numbered so we will know which is first.
My question is do you think our confidence course turned out ok?
Shadyn
My Confidence course.
I think my confidence course is definitely a success because it didn’t go to plan but ended up being better than expected and my swing actually does swing instead of just being a decoration.
Because I glued the cardboard first and waited for it to cool before sticking in the straws so they didn’t melt and they were easier to assemble without it breaking down.
Another part of my course which was successful was the rope ladder, (another part of the Expendables.) because it took a lot of time and effort and a bit of burnt fingers to complete. What also made it harder was the ropes on it because they kept wiggling around and the matchsticks kept rolling away.
In conclusion I think that my course looks great and I am happy with how it turned out and how it works, because it’s painted, cut and glued with care and with some skill. I hope that my course is made and people love it a lot!
MARSHALL
Why our confidence course was successful ?
I can tell our confidence course was successful it turned out properly and it was completed with activities.
One reason it was successful is there were clear instructions how to do things in a certain way.
Our second reason is all the activities had names so you don’t get confused.
The third and final reason is that our confidence course has a lot of colour so it is bright.
In conclusion our confidence course is different because it has different activities and it is unique to other people.

FACE your fears
Our confidence course is where you face your fears when you usually shut the door on them thats when it all starts now!
Our instructions are very clear they are not hard to understand and they are very short so you can do the obstacle.
Also our activities are numbered on our diagram and it is easy to do each activity so you don't get lost.
We have seven obstacles a junior and senior can do all the obstacles there is only one obstacle that the juniors can't do but they still learn something.
I wish our course was world wide.

Our Confidence Course.
Our Confidence Course is very successful because we have many fun activities e.g we have a climbing wall, a ball pit, tunnel, the stump jump and lots more.
In our Confidence Course we have numbers on each of our activities so people doing our confidence won’t get confused on any of our activities.
Another reason is our Confidence Course has spaced out activities and includes lots of running and jumping.
Also we have lots of colour in our Confidence Course like colourful sticks, clay balls, straws and other colourful things.
We have ten activities on our board and two people can go on at the same time.
Our Confidence Course is very successful because all our activities are numbered, they are all spaced out on the board, we have lots and lots of colour and also have ten fun activities. We Hope You Like It.

Senior Camp
The Senior School accompanied by members of their whanau, went for their annual Camp in Week 6, 11-13 June. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time and the students used their new Chromebook laptops to write these recounts about their camp experience. Below are some of the recounts.

Last Wednesday we went to senior camp in 7.45 and we went to the maori church to have lunch there. We went to One Tree Hill and walked around and saw Sir John Campbell Logan’ glasses and walked up to One Tree Hill. We went to the Sky Tower and went up the elevator. When I went up the elevator I felt fear. We watched the sunset and came back to church to have dinner. For dinner we had stew and when I ate the stew it was tasty. Then we had worship and went to sleep.
On Thursday we went to the zoo. The first animal I saw was a zebra and then I saw tigers, spider monkeys, hippopotamus, golden liontamarins, lions, cheetahs, orangutans ,red panda and heard cottontop tamarins. We had lunch there and went to West Weave Pool. We enjoyed going on the hydro slide and the wave for hours and had dinner there. We went to Kelly Tarltons and saw sharks and different penguins like king penguins and gentoo penguins. We slept in the shark tunnel and saw fish tanks.
On Friday we went to Rainbows End. The first ride I went to is Power Search when I went on it I felt fear but I liked it. I went on it again and again and I went on pirate ship. When I went to Power Serge I heard Aryssa crying near me. We had lunch there and came back to Rotorua.

On Wednesday we came to school at 7:00am we packed all our stuff in the trailer then Whaea Lanea put us in the vans and we were on our way to Auckland by 8:00am. It took us 3 hours to get to Auckland. When we got to the maori church Shane welcomed us in then we unpacked all our stuff and set up our sleeping arrangements. After that we had a healthy lunch and Whaea Lanea put us in our groups.
After we finished our lunch we were off to One Tree Hill. We got there and Phillipa the tour guide took us into the information Centre and told us a bit about One Tree Hill. She showed us a movie of when people lived on One Tree Hill and when the hill exploded. Then when she finished that she took us for a look where Sir John Logan Campbell lived the man who owned One Tree Hill. We all went through the cottage then we all put our walking shoes on and we went for a walk up to the top. When we got to the top some parents were already there because they drove up. We stayed up there for about 20 minutes taking photos of Auckland.
Soon after that we got into the vans and we went to the Sky tower the biggest structure in the southern hemisphere. When we got to Sky city it was very busy with traffic so it took us about half an hour to get there. Then we went under the sky tower where we parked our vans and finally we went up the elevator to the entry and Whaea Lanea checked us all in and we lined up by her so we could go up to the top. Half of us went into the elevator we were on our way to see a beautiful view. When we got up there we took so many photos and videos we even saw a guy jump off the sky tower. He must have had a lot of courage to do that.
After looking at a beautiful view for about an hour we all started going down the elevators. When we all got down we went to our vans and started driving back to the church. It took us about 45 minutes to get back, when we got there we got into our PJs and had some dinner. Afterwards one of the groups did the dishes while another group was setting up worship. When the dishes were all done we all sat down in the church sang, some songs and played heads down thumbs up. Then Whaea Lanea told us all to go to bed and me and EJ slept by each other. As soon as we were all in bed Whaea Lanea turned the light off and we all went to sleep.
In the morning I woke up and got dressed. Then I went into the kitchen and helped them set the tables for breakfast. When everyone was sitting down Whaea Lanea told us to go up and get us breakfast. We had toast and porridge. It was yummy. After breakfast we did the dishes and had worship, then we packed up all our stuff because we weren't coming back to the maori church. We were going to stay at Kelly Tarlton's for the last night.
We left the church at 9:30am to get to the Auckland Zoo before it opened so we would get there early. When we got there we had a photo and went through. We went by a table and Whaea Lanea said we are going to meet there at 12:30 for lunch. As soon as Whaea Lanea said off you go, me and EJ went and saw the porcupine. The parrot was very beautiful because it had lots of different colours on it. Me and EJ went around the whole zoo but we didn’t get to see the zebra, giraffe, the springbok, the ostrich or the rhinoceros because the gate was closed from the big storm they had. But we could still see the lion. When we came back from seeing the lion we had a look at the time and it was 12:20 so we went all the way back to the entry and everybody was having lunch so we went over and grabbed something to eat and sat down. When we finished Whaea Lanea said we could see one more animal. So EJ said a Kiwi. We ran off and followed the mat all the way to a greenhouse we went in and it was very dark and quiet and there was a big glass, inside there were a few kiwi they were all asleep. When we went out we ran back to the entry and packed up all the stuff.
We got into the vans and we were off to the West Wave pools we were all so excited. When we got there we saw lots of pools and a huge hydroslide. The hydroslide was so fun because it made us dizzy but when the wave pool came on we all ran over and jumped in the waves. We had so much fun. After we all got dressed Pastor Tata went and got us some dinner. We had pizzas and chips. When we finished eating we cleaned up our rubbish, grabbed our bags and we got into the vans.
We were on our way to Kelly Tarlton's. When we got there we took all our bags inside and a guy told us a bit about Kelly tarlton's. When he finished talking he took us for a tour around we walked to the entry and we started off with the penguins. It was a whole new enclosure and now we could walk through and see them all they looked so cute. After that went to see the stingrays get feed they were huge. After she feed the stingrays we had some supper. After that the lady took us into the aquarium. It was so amazing to look at as we went around on the ventilator the sharks were huge and there were so many different animals. When we finished we walked up some stairs and saw a big tank. We had a look and there were some huge crabs. They looked very, very scary. After we had a look at all the sea animals we went back to the school room and we set up our sleeping areas. Me, EJ, Mazvita and Marcelyn slept in the fish gallery right next to the crabs.
In the morning we all got up bright and early because we were so excited to go to RAINBOWS END and we didn’t want to be late. Everybody got dressed and had breakfast. Then we had another tour around Kelly Tarlton's but this time we could see the penguins and they were all swimming and playing around. We went back into the school room and got our bags. Then we put them in the trailer and said thank you and good bye.
When we were on our way to Rainbows end everybody was very excited and after two days it was the moment everybody was waiting for. We finally arrived at RAINBOWS END we all jumped out of the vans in excitement and sprinted over to the entry Whaea Lanea got our wristbands and told us all the rules. When she told us to go we screamed and ran to the powersurge it was the most scariest ride ever and Beona was screaming so hard she lost her voice and me and EJ started laughing. Rainbows End was the most coolest place.
When it was about 3:30 we all got into the vans and were on our way back to Rotorua we were all tired and had lost our voices from screaming so much. We all fell asleep and woke up as we were just getting into Rotorua. When we got to the school everybody got their bags and left. WE HAD THE BEST CAMP EVER.

6 am Wednesday morning I woke up got out of bed and got dressed.
About 6:03 I had breakfast then got ready for camp then waited for my dad to get ready for camp as well.
When we got to school I got out of the car and saw Zion H come out of the building and say, “Hey Otis, we’re going now. I said” aughghgh.”
About 8.30 we left for Auckland and we got there at 12.30
After the welcome we unpacked our bags and got dressed for One Tree Hill, at One Tree Hill every one in the van I was in saw this underground toilet. We said “ooosh.”
At the top of One Tree Hill I said, “Finally we’re here.” We took a couple photos of us then headed off to the Sky Tower. When we got there Aryssa Moana and me saw the Sky Tower right in front of us. At the top there was a huge view of all Auckland. It was spectacular.
Back at the church we had dinner and went to sleep. In the morning we got dressed and went to the Auckland Zoo. We were a bit worried because we heard that a tree had fallen over because of the storm. At the zoo it was like a scavenger hunt cause we all had to find our animals then get back to our tarpaulin but we had 2 or 3 hours to do it. After the zoo we went to West Wave Pools. At the West Wave Pools we were all like “Finally a nice cold swim.” It was really cold and it also had a hydro-slide. Everyone liked it. When we got to Kelly Tarlton's we pretty much just had a tour of the most of the building, fed the fish then went to sleep.
In the morning we packed, up watched a short video then went to Rainbow’s End. Me and Moana stuck together the whole time. Our favourite ride was the Power Surge. The highlight of the camp was… Rainbow’s End

At 7am I had to get up to get ready for senior camp. My mum came as well. We all left at 8am. When we got there we got a welcome at the maori church. Then we unpacked, we got our beds ready and then shot off to lunch. After we went to One Tree Hill there was a woman at the Information Center there. She told us about John Logan Campbell and how he bought the land. He was the father of Auckland. We went up the hill and the parents helped to push a pushchair up the hill. It was fun for the kids but not fun for them. We went the sky tower. We had a great look at the sun set and looked at the lights turn on. It was great.
On Thursday we went to Auckland Zoo. We saw lots of animals in finding wild animal my animal was a cotton top tamarin.
